International Academic Paper Competition

Share your research with the electronics industry and get the recognition you deserve. All accredited U.S. and international colleges and universities with a strong focus on the electronics industry are invited to submit an abstract for IPC APEX EXPO, the industry's premier conference on electronics manufacturing in beautiful San Diego.

The top three winning papers will be featured at IPC APEX EXPO in a special open “BUZZ” session on Thursday, March 1. Airfare and hotel expenses will be provided.

Requirements for Submission

Provide an abstract of approximately 100 to 300 words that summarizes technical and previously unpublished, noncommercial work covering case histories, research and discoveries. Abstracts must be received by December 15, 2011. Abstracts must be submitted by one researcher on behalf of an accredited college or university.

Abstracts will be judged by an IPC blue ribbon committee and the three top papers will be selected. Finalists will be notified no later than December 22, 2011.

The primary author/researcher of each of the top three papers will be invited to present his/her paper at IPC APEX EXPO on March 1, 2012. These individuals will receive an airfare allowance ($500 – North America; $1000 – outside North America), free hotel accommodations for three nights (one room per paper) and a free technical conference registration.

Participants must provide a paper by January 27, 2012. Information on preparing your required formal paper and the subsequent presentation, as well as other vital information for IPC APEX EXPO will be sent to the winning presenters with their acceptance.
