Preshow Publicity

News Releases

Upload your company's news releases into the Online Exhibit Hall (available October 2011), and send the news release to media that support the show.

On-Site Publicity

Media Kits

Deliver a supply of your media kits to IPC's press office on-site. Members of the media stop there before touring the exhibit floor. Material can be dropped off in the press office beginning Monday, February 27.

Press Conferences
Deadline: January 20, 2012

Schedule a press conference to announce major changes in management, ownership, mergers, buyouts, etc. New product announcements or changes in existing products are good topics for a briefing, but be careful not to package a small change as a big one.

All press conferences are fulfilled on a first come, first served basis. Only contracted exhibitors may hold press conferences at the event. Reserve your spot today!

How to Write a Media Release

When writing a media release, it is helpful to follow these guidelines to ensure that your piece is published:

  • Take note of these copy writing tips on how to use the modern press release.
  • Decide which publications should receive your release, then contact them to find out their deadlines.
  • Include the following information in your piece:
    • Your company name and the individual/group submitting the release.
    • The purpose of the release (new company, expansion, merger, new product, financial happenings, etc.)
    • An upcoming event/product release, including the day and month.
    • Include your organizations' contact person and phone number at the top of the page.
  • Make sure the release follows the form of a news article. Its purpose is to inform the reader, beginning with the most pertinent information, targeted and brief.
  • Do not try to sell anything in your media release. It should be for informational and newsworthy purposes only.
